Some people collect and squirrel away everything from a long life, while others carefully select individual objects which are charged with special meaning, and then some people pick up what others throw away. Our lives are narrated through the objects we collect. With these themes in mind I create collections of playful kinetic jewellery and objects which take a light hearted look at my childhood memories. Many of the pieces I make have both familiar and yet foreign associations, perhaps triggering a vague memory for the viewer too, and hopefully making them smile. |
