Site Map Geoffrey Giles My work celebrates traditional gold smithing. I work primarily in 18K gold and precious stones. Every element involved in each piece of my jewelry is meticulously hand fabricated. I work toward a clean minimalist visual aesthetic, rich with surface texture. These designs rely heavily upon attention to detail, interaction between positive and negative space, and the way light plays across the different surfaces. The dichotomy of creating such extremely technically challenging work while keeping form to a minimum, allows me to explore the limits of my ability as a maker.
